In an effort to fully move into this new era of being I am finding myself in…in an effort to really embrace what’s coming, to let go of that which no longer serves…I will no longer be blogging at toasterstrumpet.com. I’m just not present here anymore; I’ve grown in a different direction.
(Those of you that get these posts via LiveJournal: I doubt I will be posting much at all on LJ, though I will probably keep the account open to save my old posts and to keep up with what friends are doing.)
I plan to continue writing at The Flowering Thicket - if you are still interested in pickin’ up what I’m puttin’ down, please visit me there.

It has become apparent to me that this is not the point in my life during which I should hang onto that which is not working, be it an idea, a practice, or a relationship. Sentimentality isn’t getting the job done here- I need to radically assess what enhances my life, what detracts from it, and cut the fat so as to make room for better, more robust opportunities.
I need to be a better CEO; the ToasterStrumpet corporation deserves it.

Yes, I am still alive. I am taking a break from spazzing out about grad school.
How have I been, you ask? Well, the answer is really busy- I have more than enough to keep my mind and body occupied with my job, my internship at Hillman Library, classes, taking care of the pup and daily exercise. Sometimes, I even remember to breathe.
This week, I might even get out of the house for something other than an obligation! I’ve been invited to two concerts, and I plan to go to both. I’m also going to go to Halcyon at the Z Lounge this Friday. Funny, I don’t go out at all for two or three weeks and then boom! crazy social schedule.
What have you been up to, y’all?

Yes, I am still alive. I am overwhelmed with all the reading and work that I have to do for my grad classes, but my head is above water…for the moment.
If I’ve missed anything important over the last two weeks, please let me know. I haven’t been checking LiveJournal, friend’s blogs, etc.

Grrr.
My car is still in the shop. I am overwhelmed with things to read and do for grad school. I am not visiting Chicago this weekend. I am thunder-pissed.

I brought Porky to the new apartment yesterday, and I’m so glad that she’s here. She’s being very spunky and cute, and taking her for walks is an absolute treat. The houses around my apartment are grand, and I’m enjoying the slow, happy time that we have to explore together on her daily constitutional.
Right now, she’s curled up in her doggy bed, sleeping the deep sleep of the truly exhausted. I love her so much.

I am tempted to drive until I find one this weekend. West Virginia, don’t assault any of my orifices whilst I search for tasty, artery-clogging goodness, m’kay?
